Vivek Gautam has more than 26 years of experience spanning media and public relations industries. His forte lies in development of strategic public relations content viewed through a journalistic lens. He has worked with leading media houses and PR firms giving him a distinct edge towards this end.
Vivek has worked closely with some of India’s and the world’s leading PR agencies in seminal roles. He was the Projects Director for 2020 Media, now MSL, the regional head for Burson Marsteller-Roger Pereira (now Genesis-BM), the Head of Technology vertical at Corporate Voice Weber Shandwick (now Weber Shandwick) and as Associate Partner for Ketchum Sampark (then only Sampark).
Prior to his transition to the public relations industry, Vivek was the Deputy Editor of IT Hour, a daily prime-time program on CNBC. He has been the Assistant Editor of DATAQUEST and the Associate Editor of Industry Standard magazine. He has also worked with the iconic at one time and now out-of-print A&M Magazine for a few years.
Started my career in 2014 as a PR agency executive and swiftly managed to level-up in my role and responsibilities every year and within 2.5 years led a team of 15+ sports professionals and enthusiasts in a start-up. As a communications professional with 8+ years of experience, I’ve deep dived into various verticals – CSR & Advocacy, B2B, Corporate Communications and gone into the depths of understanding “narrative building” through sustained, holistic and collaborative tools and methods. This helps learners know how to form ties with the media in order to better understand journalists and the stories they commonly produce.
